JOIN US FOR EAST WEST PLAYERS’ REVIVAL OF FLOWER DRUM SONG
East West Players’ upcoming revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song, featuring a brand new libretto from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. Set in 1960s San Francisco Chinatown, the show follows Mei-li, a young Chinese opera performer escaping communism, as she navigates the vibrant nightclub scene on Grant Avenue. While the show is about the Chinese-American immigration experience, the show is pan-Asian in its values and features a pan-Asian cast. You can learn more about the show at https://www.eastwestplayers.org.
